Born in New York in 1967, Chris has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of Visual Arts, New York, NY.  He has participated in numerous solo and group shows in galleries nationwide.

Painting primarily in encaustic, the ancient medium of molten beeswax, natural resin & pigment, Chris uses a blowtorch to create, destroy & preserve his lush surfaces depicting the sublime nature of flora and fauna. In his mosaics he fires his own tiles & mixes in shells, stones & mirror with an epoxy clay that holds it all together. His sculptures are ceramic & mixed media influenced by Buddhist & mythological cosmology.
